Getting started

  • Create an account with a username, email and password, then click the verification link we email you โ€” you'll need to verify before you can log in and post.
  • Set up your profile from Settings: add a display name, bio, avatar and banner.

Posting

  • Write a post from the composer at the top of your home feed (up to 300 characters). You can attach an image or a GIF.
  • Reply, repost, quote, like and bookmark from the buttons under each post.
  • Use #hashtags to join topics and @mentions to tag people.
  • Editing window: you can fix a post for up to 5 minutes after posting โ€” but only while no one has engaged with it. As soon as someone likes, replies to, reposts or quotes it (or the 5 minutes are up), it's locked so people can trust that what they reacted to won't change. You can always delete a post.

Following & feeds

  • Your Home feed has a For You tab (ranked) and a Following tab (people you follow, newest first).
  • Explore shows everything happening across Skribl.
  • Organise people into Lists for focused timelines.

Privacy & safety

  • Private account: in Settings, require approval for new followers so only approved people see your posts.
  • Direct messages: control who can message you โ€” everyone, only people you follow, or no one โ€” without making your account private.
  • Block to cut off all contact, or mute to quietly stop seeing someone. Add muted words to filter posts containing terms you'd rather not see.
  • Report a post or account from its menu and our moderators will review it.

Notifications & messages

  • The bell shows likes, replies, follows and mentions in real time.
  • Direct messages support one-to-one and group conversations.

Verification & Premium

  • Apply for a certified badge, or upgrade to Premium for extra features.

Managing your account

  • Pause your account to hide it temporarily, or delete it โ€” deletion has a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate and recover everything.
  • You can change your email, password and privacy settings any time in Settings.
