- Content you create โ posts, replies, messages, lists, uploaded images and your profile details.
- Usage and device data โ basic technical information such as your IP address and request metadata, used to keep the service secure and to enforce rate limits.
- Cookies โ a single session cookie to keep you signed in, and a local preference for your light/dark theme. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain your account and the service.
- To deliver posts, notifications and direct messages.
- To verify your email address and send service-related messages.
- To protect against spam, abuse and unauthorised access.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Content you post publicly is visible to others by design. We share data only with service providers that help us operate Skribl โ for example our email delivery provider and our media storage provider โ and only as needed to run the service, or when required by law.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is final after a 30-day grace period, during which you can reactivate and recover your data. Some records may be retained where required for legal or security reasons.
Your choices & rights
- Access and edit your profile and content from your account.
- Make your account private, or limit who can message you.
- Delete individual posts, or your whole account.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export or erase your data โ contact us to exercise them.
Children
Skribl is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
